Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts opens Thursday with Talking Heads film and talk

The ��о��, Robert and Margrit Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts this 2025-26 season includes a diverse array of artists, from classical, to jazz, to global and everything in between for music. Performers include rising stars and old favorites, and plenty of dance. There’s ample family entertainment too, as well as prominent speakers.

Photography Exhibition Documenting the Lives of California Farmworkers Opens at ��о��

A traveling exhibition of nearly 90 works by labor photographer and journalist David Bacon opens on Saturday, Sept. 13, at the ��о��. Organized by the ��о�� Labor and Community Center in partnership with the artist, the exhibition shines a light on the experiences, strength and resilience of farmworkers in Northern California.

Shields Library at ��о�� has incorporated two new exhibits onto its main floor, allowing students, faculty and staff to take a break to learn about the history of Davis through postcards as well as how cultures preserve their histories through cooking. If you want to have a peek at how life was like before social media and recipe web sites, have a look. It's worth a visit.

Alumnus Jeffrey Berger ’74 and his wife Sheri Berger have donated a major piece of public art to ��о��. “Ghetto Wall,” an original sculpture by the prominent California artist and educator Ruth Cozen Snyder, was installed on Aug. 24 in the courtyard of Peter J. Shields Library, at the heart of the Davis campus.
